How to harvest hay on farming simulator 1410/19/2023 ![]() ![]() Get familiar with the controls - There’s no real tutorial to speak of, so you’ll want to learn what the button icons mean as soon as possible. That’s why we’ve put together some helpful tips and tricks to get your farm going. That’s fantastic, but where do you go from here? As peculiarly entertaining as it may be to meticulously guide heavy machinery around a field or two, it can be a little tricky to figure out what to do when you get behind the wheel for the first time. 4000L in makes 991 L of pellets and putting those pellets in the cow trough will net close to 4000 L of hay again. So you’ve started up your own farm. This means there isn't a penalty for using it as food. Interesting enough though if you feed the hay pellets to the animals the amount that goes into the food trough is close to the orginal value of the loose material. ![]() Why in reality a 4000 L bale of straw produces 991 L of pellets is beyond me as the conversion factor dictates it should produce 1000 L unless there is some sort of product loss calculation for material falling out of the unit during the whole process. ![]() The conversion factor is 4:1 for straw or hay going into the Premos and what it outputs as pellets based on the following code in the Premos mod. The holds for the Premos also in that its normal working speed of 6mph will be lowered if it is going through large amounts of material to a point that it will cut itself off if need be to keep from in taking to much material at a time. I have seen the square baler having a working speed of 15mph as its top speed but if you have a large straw or hay swath as a result of a large harvester header for example then the working speed will be lower with all other things being equal. There is a function with this mod to adjust the working speed based on the intake volume. ![]()
